First of all, I just want to start by saying thank you to everybody that has followed this week. I’ve received tons of new subscribers that want to keep up with my journey and it’s really motivational. I want to be able to help others in a similar position so we can all reach our goals and enjoy the food we are eating.
I have a few recipes I want to post, some of my absolute favourites – These include home-made KFC and slow cooked BBQ pulled chicken burgers, both feel really indulgent and are super tasty, they’ll be up this week I promise.
That takes me to weigh tonight, weigh in! I have been a little bloated today so really wasn’t looking forward to standing on the scales, however.. I did it, I hit my 1 stone mark. That’s 14lbs in 6 weeks, which by some standards may seem slow (2lb a week) but i’m in no rush. This is a long term thing, and i’ve come to really enjoy the food i’m cooking and eating, and i’m busting my guts in the gym which is improving my overall fitness, so if I can maintain a loss of around 1-2lbs a week i’ll be very happy! My progress bar is now 47.5lbs down.
With it being Valentines day, we debated letting our hair down and having a takeaway. Instead we’ve decided to have home-made burgers (5% mince) that we absolutely love, again they feel like a real treat but it’s all good and fresh food. I’m back at the gym tomorrow for circuits class, so I really didn’t need a takeaway pizza in me when i’m going to be doing exercise!
I’ve had a couple of requests for food diaries and in the next week or so i’ll document everything i’ve eaten this week and some tips when it comes to planning meals – One thing I will say, i’m a bit of a fussy eater so some of my food isn’t overly adventurous but I really enjoy it and it works for me, it may just give you some ideas!
Don’t forget to drop me a message or leave comments if you have any questions, or anything you’d like to see on here. If you try any of my recipes, get in touch and let me know how you found it. Also, please share this blog with your friends if you think it’ll help them, and don’t forget to subscribe!
